Every big tech shift follows the same script.

Words. Photography. Video. The internet. Smartphones. VR. AI. Same steps.

  • Step one, crazy engineers build great stuff

  • Step two, serious people promise productivity gains.

  • Step three, marketers show dashboards.

  • Step four, porn shows up early, scales fast, and quietly stress tests the whole system.

So yes, AI porn is everywhere already. AI is barely working, but AI porn is already in full force.

The more interesting question is what that actually means for culture, creators, consent, and the rest of the web, and porn.


Why porn always gets there first

Porn is kind of… predictable.

It pushes new tech because it has three unbeatable advantages. Massive demand. Low patience for friction. Zero interest in waiting for permission.

AI image generators removed two old bottlenecks overnight. You no longer need a camera. You no longer need a human model.

Prompt, render, upload, repeat. Scale beats craft. Every time…

That’s why AI porn exploded the moment image models got decent at hands, lighting, and skin texture. Once the uncanny valley shrank, the floodgates opened.
