Letters by Burk #132: Luxury & passive income
Also, time off, multiple income streams, minimalism 2024, humans, and more
Hi friends,
Luxury and its differences.
My luxury is time. Time off, to be exact.
I have built multiple income streams over the past few years. And thatās paying off right now. I havenāt been working for a few weeks, at least not consistently. Not nearly as much as I used to.
A couple of Medium stories over the past months, three newsletter issues. Thatās about it.
But still, money is coming in every day, every week, every month.
This is as close to passive income as it gets for me.
I sell products, my stories on Medium get read, I earn from paid subs, get referral money from SparkLoop, even Google sends me monthly AdSense checks.
All pretty much passive.
Of course, it took years of work to get here. Years of publishing content every day, 5 days a week, next to my 9-to-5. Those days were busy.
Thatās why Iām enjoying my time off now.
Fitting quote:
Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. ā John Hughes
