He

She yelled at me,
and I, in awe,
could not believe
the words I saw.

It had been now
a whole year long:
We, together,
a joyful song.

But now no joy
was to be found,
just days of war
and love unbound.

In one swift blow,
it all was gone.
Tears were falling,
she threw me on.

It's been two weeks
since that fateful day,
no word from her,
not one word to say.

I thought of her,
rest would not come,
for me, it seemed,
this wasn't done.

So I sought out
for comfort's embrace,
new thrills to find,
new bonds to chase.

And that too now
weeks have gone by.
The girls I met,
I can't deny.

But none compared
to what we had.
Those were just games,
not real, just a fad.

I always thought,
what's she up to?
Games were never
enough for you.

But one fine day,
I finally knew,
and I called her up,
my love so true.

My heart then spoke,
"I need her so!"
I hoped and prayed,
never too late to go.

The phone in hand,
I let it ring,
but she didn't pick up,
no joy, no bling.
