Medium Keeps Improving the Partner Program

Here’s What Changed (And What’s Most Important)

In October 2025, Medium made one of the biggest update to the Partner Program yet.

They started paying (a bit) for member reads that came from outside Medium. External traffic, social shares, search. A real shift.

That was just the start.

Since then, Medium has pushed out four more changes, one per month, each one evolving how earnings are calculated.

As of today, the Partner Program works quite differently than it did six months ago.
