My AI Writing Automation System
With Claude Code

I don’t really use AI to write. It’s still not great at that. At least, not without heavy editing and revisions.
I use AI to do the stuff I don’t want to do. The boring stuff around writing. The repetitive tasks. They’re important.
Right now, I have over 1,200 published stories from Medium and Substack sitting in a folder on my computer. Plain HTML files. Every single one.
That number isn’t even that big considering I’ve been doing this since 2021 on Medium. And almost two decades of writing in total, across Medium, Substack, and a few other platforms in the past, most of them in German.
For the longest time, those stories lived in different places, in different formats, scattered across the internet with backed up in Notion or Apple Notes.
Not anymore.
I built a writing automation system with Claude Code that changed how I work. Not how I write. How I organize the writing. There’s a difference. And that difference is the whole point of this article.
So, here’s how I do it.
