I was just thinking of moving my WordPress blog posts to Substack. Then this pops into my feed. Must be a sign. Or the internet is stalking me again.
Nevertheless, I don't have 500+ WP posts, so migrating and editing shouldn't take too much time. I do appreciate the simplicity of Substack, so I don't mind giving up the vast customization options of WP.
Substack is neat. The email newsletter aspect is not (to me). I'm mulling whether I should just move the long form content to a web host with Wordpress
1. Lack of personalization e.g. no meta tag for subscriber name, no first name minimum to personalize

1. Lack of personalization e.g. no meta tag for subscriber name, no first name minimum to personalize
2. The email newsletter is set up in a way that the email newsletter = article of your publication. Would prefer the option of a separation. Yes I can send an email without sending a post but...

The blog features I'm mostly satisfied
Did you use WordPress.org or .com? I have a blog and want to move my content to Substack but copy and pasting hundreds of posts is a long work.
I always used Wordpress .org
