It happened.
Medium told us in a creators newsletter last week that they’d be removing the ability to write and edit stories from within the mobile apps for iOS and Android soon.
The day has come.
I updated the Medium app for iPhone yesterday and was greeted with a banner, explaining a few changes to speed and smoothness. What it didn’t say was that this update already was the one who removed the editing features.
It’s gone.
I can’t write posts anymore. Additionally, I can’t look at drafts either. In the drop-down menu, there’s no more draft option. You can only look at published posts, unlisted stories, and responses.
As I said in a previous post, I don’t understand that. And I really don’t like it.
Removing the ability to write on the go is a weird decision in this increasingly mobile world.
